The Last Supper

80cm x 40cm x 15cm

This series of work, reflecting on the community that will be no longer once the National Glass Centre closes its doors. This work is a tribute to 6 years of learning, development and artist growth that the building and the community has led me through. The exploration in this work has been centred around merging metal with glass. The juxtaposition of the materials creates functional yet futile bond. The glass becomes dependent on the metal fixings yet is impaired by its company. The metal fixings after being refrained by the glass lack functionality without its presence.
